A circular walk from picturesque Great Massingham with its large duck ponds across rolling countryside to Grimston Heath taking in sections of the Peddars Way. Pub stop at the end in the Dabbling Duck.

Meet outside St Giles' Church in Medbourne (between Uppingham and Market Harborough) map/grid ref. 224/SP799930 at 10:30. Walk on quiet roads to Nevill Holt and Blaston before stopping in Hallaton for lunch (cafe and pub in the village). Return to Medbourne via the MacMillian Way through attractive rolling countryside. Pub/cafe in Medbourne available at end of walk.

Following the success of our trip to the Causeway Coast, there is a lot of interest in returning to Northern Ireland.

Sun 20th May - Godmanchester, Cambs
Meet by the Chinese Bridge in Godmanchester, map/grid ref. 225/TL244705, at 10:30. Small car park nearby. Walk along the Ouse Valley Way to Houghton and return along the opposite bank, following good riverside paths. Houghton Mill is owned by the National Trust, and open to visit for a charge. There is a tea room at the Mill, and a good picnic spot nearby so please bring a packed lunch. Pubs and an ice cream van at Godmanchester. Keen bird watchers might want to bring along their binoculars as we pass through a gravel pit nature reserve.

Meet at the Market Place in Saffron Walden, map/grid ref. 195/TL539385, at 10:30. The walk goes across across Audley Park and over the River Cam, with views of Audley End House, and across to the picturesque village of Wendens Ambo on the other side of the valley before returning for a final stroll across the park.
